Sobre el evento
The COVID-19 pandemic deepened the exclusion of indigenous peoples. However, in this adverse context, indigenous youth have organized to promote responses within their communities. With the support of the Pawanka Fund , the LAC Indigenous Youth Network and other grassroots organizations managed to promote four local actions to face COVID-19 in the Latin American region. The indigenous youth of San Juan Jaltepec (Oaxaca, Mexico), Valle de Chalco (State of Mexico, Mexico), Palín (Escuintla, Guatemala) and La Paz (Bolivia) carried out information campaigns, delivery of traditional foods, biosecurity utensils , mural and mouth covers that vindicate cultural identity and resistance to the pandemic.
